impuls
IMPULS - the result of an exploration around the relationship between human & spatial movement and sound.
Weltpremiere für Das Stuttgarter Ballett
The piece focusses on form and dynamics, energy and tempo, and different relationships between the dance and music, the dancers and the drum player, and the evolution of the space.
"Roman Novitzky’s Impuls is a work with the music firmly embedded in the dance. Percussionist & composer Marc Strobel took his place on the stage, and remained there for the duration, the physicality of his playing integrating him into the dance. The design and lighting, by Yaron Abulafia, also assumed a prominent role effectively shaping the physical dimensions of the stage.”

david foster wallace
"Terribly amusing. But next time - without me!"
"David Foster Wallace on a seven-day luxury cruise in the Caribbean... On behalf of Harpers Magazine, he had boarded a luxury liner and set sail from Key West with 2.000 people. He saw "saccharin-white beaches and waters of the brightest azure, pale-purple pantsuits, jackets of menstrual pink, brown-violet training suits, and adult U.S. citizens at the info counter, who wanted to know if you get wet while snorkeling."
A real satire that can lead you to laugh to tears and simultaneously catches your breath.
